PH: Planet Hearts is an
independent newspaper for the supporters of
Edinburgh's largest club, Hearts FC. It started
as a weekly on March 17, 2006, with a print run
of 10,000 copies. In May that same year it
produced a Scottish Cup Final special on sale the
day after Hearts won the trophy, and at Christmas
produced its first ever digital edition for the
overseas market. 2007/2008 sees it target special
events accompanied by the launch of an
online
shop.
Planet Ink Limited produced a
series of digital magazines called Goal.Net to
help management at Hibs FC develop a relationship
with their fans. It allowed for interactive
advertising, competitions and instant delivery
giving them an added edge for their Hibs
Interactive project. The club set up a working
party to look at ways of progressing the project
after positive feedback from fans.
Cumbernauld Housing
Partnership's marketing account is handled by one
of the UK's leading PR firms, Beattie
Communications, who asked Planet Ink Limited to
come up with an easy to use solution for their
recruitment drive in 2007, while reflecting the
charity's budget. Within 24-hrs we were able to
provide them with a shortlist of two designs,
each emphasising their desire for
individuality.
